Information about personal data

Information on processing of personal data contained in the electronical correspondence with ALTERDATA.IO sp. z o.o.

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679, hereinafter referred to as ‘’GDPR’’, we provide the following information regarding the processing of personal data in the electronical correspondence with ALTERDATA.IO sp. z o.o.

1. Controller and Data Protection Officer

  1. The Controller of your personal data is ALTERDATA.IO Sp. z o.o. headquartered in Warsaw at the address Domaniewska 47/10, 02-672 Warsaw, e-mail: office@alterdata.io, hereafter referred to as „Controller”.
  2. The Controller appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), who can be contacted under the following e-mail address: iod@aldterdata.io. 

2. The purpose and the legal basis for processing of your personal data

  1. The personal data provided in the e-mails will be processed for the purpose of electronical correspondence, including the responses to the posed questions, and providing relevant information. The legal basis for processing of your personal data for the above-mentioned purposes is the legitimate interest of the Controller (Art. 6 Par. 1 (f) GDPR) involving the handling of correspondence.
  2. If you ask us to present you with an offer, your personal data will be processed for the purpose of sending you the right offer on the basis of Art.6 Par. 1 (b) GDPR (processing in order to take steps at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract)
  3. If you are a party to the contract with ALTERDATA.IO sp. z o.o. processing of your personal data will be done based on this contract (Art.6 Par. 1 (b) GDPR) for the purpose of its proper execution (the necessary communication for the purpose of the proper execution of the contract/commission).
  4. If you are a person appointed to represent our contractor or a person appointed by our contractor for the purpose of contacting us in order to ensure the execution of the subject of the contract, we will be processing your data based on our legitimate interest (Art.6 Par. 1 (f) GDPR), which is the handling of communication in relation to the concluded contract.
  5. The correspondence along with personal data might also be processed to defend ourselves against claims, or for pursuing claims, which constitutes our legally justified interest (Art.6 Par. 1 (f) GDPR).

3. Data recipients

  1. The recipients of your data might be the entities providing IT services for the Controller (software services, mailbox hosting, server hosting) as well as legal services, advisory services, insurance services on the basis of relevant contracts, and entities authorised to receive your personal data on the basis of applicable law. 

4. Retention period

  1. Personal data will be processed for the period necessary to handle correspondence, extended accordingly by the period resulting from the relation of correspondence with the concluded legal relationship, archiving obligations, pursuing claims, or other obligations required by the generally applicable law.

5. Personal rights

  1. You have the following rights:
    1. to access the content of your data and request a copy thereof (Art. 15 GDPR);
    2. to request rectification of your personal data (Art. 16 GDPR);
    3. to have your data erased (Art. 17 GDPR);
    4. to restrict the processing of data (Art. 18 GDPR),
    5. to transmit data i.e. to receive personal data from the Controller in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, to the extent in which your data in processed in order to conclude and perform the contract in an automated manner (Art.20 GDPR).
    6. to object to the processing of your personal data on legally justified grounds (Art. 21 GDPR);
  1. In order to exercise your rights, please contact the Controller or the Data Protection Officer via e-mail addresses indicated in points 1 and 2 above, or by post to the address of the Controller’s registered office.
  2. Each natural person has the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection, if he/she believes that the processing of personal data concerning him/her violates the provisions of the GDPR.

6. Information about the requirement/voluntariness of providing data

  1. Providing personal data: name, surname and e-mail address is necessary to conduct e-mail correspondence. Providing other data in the correspondence is voluntary and depends on the matter with which you contact us. 

7. Information about no profiling and no transfer of data outside the EEA

  1. Your personal data will not be subject to automated decision-making, including profiling, and will not be transferred outside the European Economic Area.
