Information on processing of personal data of the users of fan pages of ALTERDATA.io on social networking sites

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679, hereinafter referred to as ‘’GDPR’’, we provide the following information regarding the processing of personal data of the users of our fan pages:

1. Controller and Data Protection Officer

  1. ALTERDATA.IO sp. z o.o. headquartered in Warsaw at the address Domaniewska 47/10, 02-672 Warsaw, e-mail: office@alterdata.io is the controllers of your personal data provided when using the fan pages:
    1. https://www.facebook.com/alterdata.io on the Facebook social network,
    2. https://www.linkedin.com/company/alterdata.io/ on the LinkedIn social network.
  2. The Controller has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO), who can be contacted in all matters related to the processing and protection of personal data by writing to the e-mail address: iod@aldterdata.io. 

2. Owners of social networking sites as co-administrators of personal data

  1. In accordance with the case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union, the creator of a fan page on a social network is a joint controller of the personal data of users of this fan page together with the owner of the social network.
  2. However, we would like to inform you that the provisions contained in this information clause do not apply to the processing of your personal data by the owner of the Facebook website – Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and the owner of the LinkedIn website, i.e. LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company. For detailed information on the processing of your data by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, read their Privacy Policies, which are available on the following websites:

3. The scope of data processing

  1. Alterdata.io processes your personal data if you have left any trace on one of our fanpages, e.g. you have clicked the icon: “Like”, “Follow”, “Share”, left a comment or sent a message.
  2. We process your data in the following scope: name and surname or name of your profile, image – if it appears in your profile picture, data provided in a message, in a comment, or as part of a conversation via Messenger.

4. Purposes and legal grounds for data processing

  1. We process your data for the following purposes:
    1. to running fan pages on the terms and conditions set out by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited – the supplier of Facebook, and LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company – the supplier of the Linkedin portal; and informing through them about our activities, services offered, which constitutes our legitimate interest in accordance with Art.6.Par.1 (f) GDPR;
    2. communication via the available functionalities of Facebook and LinkedIn (comments, chat, posts, conversation via Messenger, messages), which is our legitimate interest in accordance with Art.6.Par.1 (f) GDPR;
    3. conducting analyses of the functioning, popularity, statistics and use of fan pages using the available functionalities), which is our legitimate interest in accordance with Art.6.Par.1 (f) GDPR;

5. Personal rights

  1. You have the following rights:
    1. to access the content of your data and request a copy thereof,
    2. to request rectification of your personal data,
    3. to request erasing your data,
    4. to restrict the processing of your data,
    5. to object to the processing of your personal data on the grounds of the Controller’s legitimate interest
  1. In order to exercise your rights, please contact the Controller or the Data Protection Officer via e-mail addresses indicated in points 1 and 2 above
  2. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection, if you believe that the processing of your personal data violates the law.

6. Data Retention Period

  1. We will process your personal data for the duration of the given processing purposes, but no longer than until you submit an effective objection to the processing. We will process the data from the message for the period necessary to solve the case you are contacting us with.
  2. We would like to remind you that you always have the option to delete a comment left on our fan page or unfollow our fan page.

7. Information on the voluntary provision of data

  1. Any activity that leaves your personal data on our fan page is completely voluntary. You decide which personal data we will have access to by applying the appropriate privacy settings on your personal profile.

8. Information on cookies used for statistical and marketing purposes

  1. We can obtain anonymous statistical data on people visiting our Facebook fan pages using the “Meta Business Suite” function provided by the owner of Facebook – Meta Platforms. These data are collected using cookies. Cookies are saved by Meta Platforms on end device of people visiting fan pages.
  2. Information on the use of cookies by Meta Platforms can be found at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/policies/cookies.
  3. We may obtain anonymous statistical data on people visiting our fan pages on the LinkedIn platform using cookies provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company. Cookies are saved by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company on the end device of people visiting fan pages.
  4. Information on the use of cookies by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company can be found at the following link: https://pl.linkedin.com/legal/cookie-policy.
  5. The information obtained in the above-mentioned manner does not allow us to unambiguously identify people visiting our fan pages.

9. Data Recipients

  1. The recipients of your personal data may be the entities providing us with the administration service of our fan pages. If you make your data public on our fan page, it will be visible to other users who also visited our fan page.

10. Transfer of data to third countries or international organizations and information on profiling

  1. Alterdata.io does not transfer your data outside the European Union or to international organizations. However, it should be remembered that by having an account on Facebook and LinkedIn social networking sites, you have accepted the regulations and privacy policies of these portals, in which their owners: Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company discussed the principles of transferring personal data to third countries, including for servers in the United States. Alterdata.io has no control over how Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company process your personal data.

  2. Your personal data will not be subject to automated decision making, including profiling, by Alterdata.io.
